Vikas Nagar: A fatal road accident took place in the Rasoolpur area of Vikas Nagar, Dehradun, where a dumper truck collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of the biker. Following the accident, the dumper driver fled the scene, causing a commotion at the location.
The tragic incident occurred on the Vikas Nagar-Kalsi National Highway, where a motorcycle was struck by a dumper truck. The biker sustained severe injuries, and soon after, a large crowd gathered at the scene. People quickly informed the police and called for an ambulance. With the help of local residents and the police, the injured biker was rushed to the Vikas Nagar Government Hospital using the 108 ambulance service, where doctors declared him dead.
According to Vaibhav Gupta, the in-charge of the Bazaar Police Post, they received information from the 112 emergency service about the collision between a dumper and a motorcycle near a restaurant in Rasoolpur. The motorcycle involved in the accident was registered as UK16B-1257, and the dumper truck was registered as UK07CD-1183. The biker, identified as Pradeep Chauhan (28), was severely injured and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Pradeep Chauhan was a resident of Deu Village, Kalasi Police Station.
Vaibhav Gupta confirmed that the dumper driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. Authorities are currently gathering information to locate the driver. The police are also conducting an inquest and post-mortem procedures for the deceased, and the vehicles involved in the accident have been seized for further investigation.
