President Droupadi Murmu Commences Three-Day Visit to Uttarakhand
President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Uttarakhand for a three-day visit, including yoga sessions and the inauguration of key facilities.

Dehradun: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Dehradun on Thursday for a three-day official visit to Uttarakhand. Upon her arrival, she was warmly welcomed at the airport by Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Following a brief reception, the President proceeded directly to Rashtrapati Niketan.
In the evening of her arrival, President Murmu is scheduled to inaugurate an amphitheater at Rashtrapati Niketan and lay the foundation stone for new staff quarters, stables, and barracks, further enhancing the facilities in the area.
On the following day, which also marks her birthday, she plans to inaugurate several amenities, including a visitor facilitation center, a cafeteria, and a souvenir shop at Rashtrapati Niketan. Additionally, she will participate in a special program focused on children with disabilities at the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities, where several dignitaries, including Union Social Justice Minister Virendra Kumar, are expected to be present.
Further activities on her agenda include dedicating Tapovan Park for public use and visiting the historic Shiva temple on Rajpur Road. During this visit, she will lay the foundation stone for Rashtrapati Udyan and unveil a book focusing on the biodiversity of the region, which includes Rashtrapati Niketan, Rashtrapati Tapovan, and Rashtrapati Park.
In a celebratory nod to her birthday, President Murmu will be receiving birthday wishes at Rashtrapati Niketan in the early afternoon. She will also release a commemorative postage stamp honoring the 125th anniversary of Raj Bhavan in Nainital and participate in the launch of a coffee table book detailing its history.
On June 21, coinciding with International Yoga Day, President Murmu will perform yoga at a program organized in the Police Line and will also address the attending audience. After concluding her visit, she is expected to depart for Jolly Grant Airport at 11:15 a.m. to return to Delhi.
This visit not only highlights President Murmu's commitment to engaging with state leaders but also emphasizes her focus on various social welfare initiatives and community interaction in Uttarakhand.
