The spotlight is back on Mumbai as Global India Couture Week (GICW) gears up for its grand 2025 edition, promising four days of fashion, creativity, and glamour. Scheduled from September 18–21, 2025 at the Nesco Exhibition Centre, Goregaon East, the event is positioned as a meeting point for India’s finest couture designers and a growing international community of fashion innovators.

Under the visionary leadership of Managing Director Satyajit Mohanty and Operational Director Dr. Sidharth Behera, GICW 2025 solidifies its reputation as India’s pioneering platform that integrates regional and international designers under one roof. The focus this year is on pushing boundaries — merging cutting-edge global aesthetics with the richness of Indian craftsmanship — while creating a marketplace that bridges creativity and commerce.

Audiences can expect runway presentations that go beyond conventional showcases. From bold silhouettes to futuristic concepts, the event will feature a mix of seasoned couturiers and fresh talent. This year’s designer lineup boasts an impressive roster: Varun Bahl, Rohit Verma, Narendra Kumar, Ken Ferns, Saisha Shinde, Manali Jagtap (presented by Dr. Tvacha), Nitin Singh + Forever Naveen Kumar, Gayatri + Aankona + Battle Harbour + Andaloussia + Raj Sharma, NIF Global + Gift Design Academy, Oshisa Textiles IIFT (Bilaspur, Bareilly), Thomas Abraham + Tina Ranka, Kirti Rathore + Gazal Mishra, Reynu Tandon + Nikhita Tandon, IIFT (Naraina, GK Campus, Ghaziabad), Utkarsh Akkisetty + 4D, Sumit Goel, Robert Naorem (presented by Fraganta), Keembdanti by Sabyasachi.

Adding to the glamour quotient, GICW 2025 will feature a star-studded lineup of showstoppers including Jacqueline Fernandez, Diana Penty, Surveen Chawla, Daisy Shah, Maniesh Paul, Rachika Suresh, Leisha Patidar, Vedant Mahewar, and several other leading personalities from the world of cinema and fashion. With this eclectic mix, the event promises to deliver a couture experience that is both aspirational and immersive.

“Global India Couture Week is not just about fashion shows, it is about creating a movement where heritage, innovation, and global perspectives come together on one stage,” says Satyajit Mohanty, Managing Director, GICW. “We are proud to provide a platform that continues to elevate Indian couture to international prominence, while also welcoming international voices into the fold.”

Dr. Sidharth Behera, Operational Director, GICW, adds, “At GICW, our mission is to create a seamless bridge between creativity and commerce. Every edition is meticulously curated to ensure designers not only showcase their artistry but also connect with the right buyers, influencers, and audiences. This year, with an even more global perspective, we are raising the bar for operational excellence and setting new benchmarks for fashion weeks in India.”

As if the fashion excitement wasn’t enough, the announcement of GICW 2025 also witnessed the launch of two new fragrances — “Heer” and “Ranjha” — by Fraganta Perfumes, founded by Leena Jain. Designed as a symbolic pair celebrating human, emotional, and spiritual bonds, the perfumes bring together bold and sensual notes. Ranjha, the men’s fragrance, offers an intense concentration with an unusual blend of grapefruit, spices, lavender, and rich woods, layered with cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, licorice, amber, patchouli, and vetiver. Heer, its complement, is a vegan gourmand aromatic scent featuring vanilla infusion, vanilla caviar, lavender, and a warm base of vanilla absolute — embodying confidence, strength, and kindness.

With its unmatched mix of high fashion, global designers, celebrity showstoppers, and fragrance launches, Global India Couture Week 2025 is ready to set new trends, make headlines, and redefine the Indian couture calendar.
