Worship Khanna on International Youth Day: “Today’s Youth is Driving Change While Staying Rooted in Culture

As the world marks International Youth Day on August 12, actor Worship Khanna — known for roles in Kumkum Bhagya, Meri Doli Mere Angana, Ishq Subhan Allah, and web series like Hello Jee and Cold Lassi Aur Chicken Masala — believes India’s youth are actively shaping the nation’s progress. Currently starring in Pati Brahmachari, he says today’s generation is not only ambitious but also capable of meaningful change.

> “Today’s youth will be tomorrow’s elders. The elders we have today once brought change, upgraded things, and worked for society. That same spirit is alive today — the youth is making changes, and yes, the nation is growing,” Worship shares.

On Misinformation in the Digital Era

In an age of instant information, Worship acknowledges the risks of being misled.

> “Anyone can be misled, not just the youth. Earlier, gaining knowledge required effort — going to specific places, doing research, and taking references. Now, with social media and the internet, information is at your fingertips. That’s not a problem in itself — the real challenge is knowing what to take and what to ignore.”

He praises the awareness of the younger generation.

> “Our youth is smart enough to verify sources. They know which pages are authentic and can easily tell fake news from genuine information. I’m glad they cross-check and seek the truth instead of blindly believing what they read.”

Balancing Technology and Tradition

For Worship, progress is about upgrading skills without losing one’s cultural identity.

> “Make yourself advanced, accept technology, but don’t lose your culture or traditions. Following Western techniques is fine, but we must also preserve our own heritage. When we blend modern tools like AI and robotics with our rich traditions, that’s when real magic happens.”

He emphasizes that cultural roots are the foundation of true progress.

> “We should never forget where we come from — our country, our upbringing, and the traditions that define us. As we grow with modernity, we must also nurture our values and pass them forward.”

On this International Youth Day, Worship Khanna’s message is clear — the future belongs to those who can adapt to change, embrace knowledge, and remain deeply connected to their roots.
