In a major administrative move to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of public health services, the Uttarakhand Health Department has announced a comprehensive reshuffle of senior officials. The decision affects officers from director-level positions to Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) and consultants in various districts across the state.

Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar stated that the transfers were carried out with the objective of making health services smoother and more effective. He emphasized that the newly appointed officers and doctors would bring fresh energy to their respective postings, leading to improved healthcare for citizens at every level.

Among the key appointments, Dr. Shikha Jangpangi has been entrusted with the role of Director, Directorate General of Health Services, stationed in Dehradun. Dr. Chandra Prakash Tripathi will now serve as Director, Medical Health and Family Welfare, Garhwal Division, Pauri. Meanwhile, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Pant and Dr. Praveen Kumar have been assigned as Additional Director and Joint Director, respectively, at the Directorate General of Health Services.

Significant changes have also been made in district-level leadership. Dr. Shivmohan Shukla has been appointed Chief Medical Officer, Pauri, and Dr. Naveen Chandra Tiwari takes over as Chief Medical Officer (In-Charge), Almora. Dr. Ajay Kumar will now serve as Medical Superintendent at the Tuberculosis Ashram in Gethiya, Nainital, reflecting an emphasis on specialized care and facility management.

Further bolstering healthcare capacity, Dr. Purushottam Ram Pandey has been designated Chief Consultant at the Sub-District Hospital in Khatima, and Dr. Suresh Kothiyal along with Dr. Sanjay Kansal will both serve as Additional Directors in the Health Services Directorate.

In the Rishikesh medical landscape, Dr. Uttam Singh Kharola takes over as Chief Medical Superintendent at the Sub-District Hospital, while Dehradun sees multiple appointments: Dr. Yatendra Singh and Dr. Vijay Singh Pawar are posted as Chief Consultants at the District Hospital, and Dr. Manu Jain assumes charge as Chief Medical Superintendent at the same facility.

Rudrapur also undergoes a transition, with Dr. Manoj Kumar Tiwari and Dr. Manoj Badoni both appointed as Chief Consultants at the District Hospital. Finally, Dr. Arvind Kumar Mishra has been given dual responsibilities as Chief Consultant and Chief Medical Superintendent at the Sub-District Hospital in Roorkee, signaling trust in his leadership at this critical health hub.

This widespread realignment signifies the government's proactive approach to address healthcare challenges in a growing state like Uttarakhand. With a blend of experienced professionals and strategic positioning, the reshuffle is poised to enhance service delivery, streamline operations, and ultimately benefit the people of the state.
