Manoj Tiwari’s Powerful Entry as Parshuram Steals the Show at Luv Kush Ramlila
The third day of the world-famous Luv Kush Ramlila saw Manoj Tiwari’s fiery portrayal of Parshuram captivate thousands as young audiences turned up in large numbers to witness the spectacular Sita Swayamvar sequence.

The grand stage at the Red Fort grounds came alive on the third evening of the celebrated Luv Kush Ramlila, where devotion met drama in spectacular style. Thousands of spectators, including a large number of young attendees, gathered to witness the live staging of mythological moments that have defined generations. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and applause echoing through the ground, a testament to how the Ramlila continues to connect with audiences across ages and geographies.
Committee President Arjun Kumar shared that the evening was honored by the presence of Vishva Hindu Parishad President Alok Kumar and popular Delhi minister Pravesh Verma. Their attendance added a touch of prestige to the night’s performances and reinforced the cultural significance of the event.
The highlight of the evening came with Member of Parliament, actor, and singer Manoj Tiwari stepping onto the stage as Parshuram. With his eyes blazing and a shining, razor-sharp axe gripped firmly in hand, Tiwari’s fierce entrance was met with thunderous applause from the crowd. The LED-lit royal court of King Janak looked magnificent, adding grandeur to the much-awaited Sita Swayamvar sequence. The moment Sita Ji entered with the wedding garland, flanked by kings from across the land, the audience was left spellbound, soaking in the magic of the timeless tale.
The set of Somnath Mandir stood out as one of the evening’s visual highlights, transporting the audience into the epic’s world. Renowned actor Rajesh Puri, remembered fondly for his role in Hum Log, brought depth and gravitas to the scenes he was part of — from Janak Doot Agaman to Asht Sakhi Samvad, Girija Poojan, and the intense exchanges between Ravan, Banasur, and Lakshman. His performance was a nostalgic treat for theatre lovers.
Subhash Goyal, General Secretary of the committee, and Vice President Shri Satyabhushan Jain shared details about tomorrow’s much-anticipated sequence. The fourth day will feature key dramatic moments including the announcement of Shri Ram’s coronation, the emotionally charged Manthara–Kaikeyi dialogues, and the iconic Vanvaas scene where Shri Ram, Sita Ji, and Lakshman depart for exile.
A major attraction awaits the audience in the form of the Kevat Prasang — the scene where Kevat ferries Shri Ram, Sita, and Lakshman across the river. This moment will be brought to life with cutting-edge artificial intelligence and advanced digital technology, giving audiences an immersive experience like never before.
The Luv Kush Ramlila continues to prove why it is regarded as a cultural phenomenon — blending rich tradition, celebrated performers, and modern stagecraft to narrate the timeless story of Ramayana in a way that feels both reverent and refreshing for today’s audience.
