In a recent development, the residents of Bajuria Haldhu Colony, located in Katgharia, Nainital district, have raised their concerns regarding long-standing issues with the road and water supply in their area. For over 15 years, these issues have remained unresolved, leading to widespread frustration among the villagers.

The lack of proper road infrastructure and the disruption of water connections have left the local community in distress. The villagers, who have repeatedly approached the concerned authorities, including various village heads and the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), for help, have seen no significant action taken to address their complaints. Despite numerous written requests, the problem persists, leaving the villagers no choice but to take matters into their own hands.

On the occasion of their protest, the villagers, led by social worker Chandan Devka, submitted a memorandum to Shivam Singh Thakur, the Vice President of National Human Rights and the State President of Janseva Foundation Anti-Corruption Cell. The villagers detailed their grievances and expressed their frustration over the lack of response from the local authorities. 

Shivam Singh Thakur, who received the memorandum, assured the community that their concerns would be taken seriously and that immediate efforts would be made to resolve the road and water issues. His promise to address the situation has provided some hope to the villagers, who are eagerly awaiting a solution.

The protest was attended by several notable individuals, including Ankit Bisht, Nirmala Tiwari, Renu Tiwari, Vidya Joshi, Hema Vice President, Mamta Vice President, Munni Upadhyay, Khayali Dat Upadhyay, Pawan Tiwari, Dheeraj Tiwari, Bhuwan Chand Tiwari, Gaurav Tiwari, Deepak Bisht, Deepa Sanwal, Ghananand Tiwari, Pushpa Tiwari, Harish Pant, Prakash Chand Joshi, Guddu Upadhyay, Chandan Devka, Sachin Sharma, and the media in-charge of the organization, Rohit Diwakar, along with many other villagers who supported the cause.

This protest has drawn significant attention to the ongoing struggles of the local community, and it remains to be seen if the authorities will take swift action to resolve these critical issues.
