Hrishikesh Pandey: “You have to make time—life is in the little moments we often overlook”

In an era of digital distractions and endless to-do lists, Hrishikesh Pandey is a rare voice of calm. Known for his composed screen presence and thoughtful personality, the Indian actor believes life isn’t something you chase—it’s something you slow down to experience.

“You have to make time—life is in the little moments we often overlook,” he says, reflecting on how most people today are stuck in cycles of busyness. “It’s always about your priorities. You’ll never get time unless you make it. You have to consciously take time out, set boundaries, and decide what really matters.”

For Hrishikesh, those ‘little things’ aren’t just poetic ideas—they’re what bring real fulfillment. “People say they’re too busy for the small joys in life. But those are the moments that stay with you. They’re the reason you feel like you’ve actually lived.”

And when it comes to living fully, the monsoon season is his personal invitation from nature. Ask him about traveling during the rains and a smile appears instantly. “I don’t avoid traveling in the rains—on the contrary, I love it. People laugh, but I enjoy getting drenched, doing all the musti I used to do as a kid. That childlike spirit—it should never go away, no matter how old you get.”

His travel style is simple, spontaneous, and deeply connected to nature. “The moment I get a day off or I’m not shooting, I just pack up and leave,” he says. “Whether it’s Mahabaleshwar, Matheran, Khandala, Lonavala, Igatpuri—or even Goa—I love it all. The hills, the sea, rivers, forests—they all call to me.”

His go-to travel kit? Surprisingly minimal. “My phone, of course—for pictures and basic needs. And I never forget my swimming trunks and some comfortable outdoor clothes. That’s it. I don’t overthink or wait for a perfect plan. When nature calls, I just go.”

In a world that glorifies hustle culture and achievement, Hrishikesh Pandey’s voice is a reminder of something far more essential—presence. Whether it's walking in the rain, driving solo into the hills, or laughing like a child again, he shows us that joy isn’t found in grandeur—it lives quietly in simplicity.

“Don’t wait for big moments,” he says. “Find joy in small ones. That’s how you feel like you’ve truly lived.”
