From Mythology to Modern Drama, Harleen Kaur Rekhi Juggles Kamdhenu Gaumata and Binddii with Passion
Harleen Kaur Rekhi shares her journey of simultaneously portraying Kamdhenu Devi in Kamdhenu Gaumata and Sudha Mami in Binddii, reflecting on balance, gratitude, and her dreams of exploring action-packed roles.

Balancing two dynamic characters across two very different television shows is no easy feat, yet Harleen Kaur Rekhi wears it like second skin. The actress, who headlines Star Bharat’s Kamdhenu Gaumata as the divine Kamdhenu Devi while simultaneously essaying the quirky Sudha Mami in Colors’ Binddii, calls herself nothing but fortunate.
“Playing Kamdhenu Devi as the lead on Star Bharat is a big honor for me,” she expressed with warmth. “The show has a fresh narrative, a proper finite 52-episode story, and audiences are responding beautifully. At the same time, Binddii on Colors lets me explore a totally different shade with Sudha Mami. Both platforms are massive in their own ways, and I feel blessed to contribute to such varied storytelling.”
For Harleen, the art of balance is not just about schedules—it’s about intent. “If your dedication is strong and your heart is in the right place, balance comes naturally. Passion is the fire that keeps everything moving. The spark to give your best, every single day, is what allows me to manage two contrasting worlds with ease.”
She’s also overwhelmed by the affection pouring in from viewers. “I would request everyone to keep showering love on Kamdhenu Gaumata—so much that we can return with Season 2! And do keep watching Binddii as well. Even if Sudha Mami manages to irritate you sometimes, remember she’s there to add flavor and entertainment.”
On a personal level, Harleen finds her greatest joy in the atmosphere on set. “Both teams feel like extended families. There’s a warmth and a bond with my co-stars that goes beyond work. It never feels like we’re simply colleagues delivering scenes—it feels like we’re living these stories together.”
Looking ahead, Harleen has her eyes on new challenges. “I would love to step into the shoes of a RAW agent or a police inspector someday. An action thriller is high on my wish list. I believe every role adds a new layer to your journey as an actor, and I’m ready for something bold and different.”
Between mythology and modern family drama, between divinity and delightful mischief, Harleen Kaur Rekhi is proving that versatility isn’t just about roles—it’s about spirit, gratitude, and the courage to dream bigger.
