Three Arrested After Young Girl Drugged and Gang-Raped

In the Raipur police station area, a 19-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped on Thursday after being given intoxicating substances. The police have arrested two accused in this case, while a third accused, a juvenile, is under police protection.

A young girl from Raipur went missing on Thursday morning, prompting her family to search for her. In the afternoon, they found her in a magic vehicle with three boys at Ladpur intersection. The family confronted the boys, leading to a physical altercation, after which the police were informed. The family accused the three boys of gang-raping the girl. Following this, the police sent the victim for a medical examination and brought the three accused to the station.

The family demanded that a case be filed. Police have registered a case against Abhishek (22), the magic vehicle driver from Valmiki Basti, his friend Ankit (24), and a 16-year-old juvenile for allegedly intoxicating the girl and committing gang rape. The arrested accused are to be presented in court on Friday, while police are also reviewing CCTV footage of the incident to gather evidence.

According to police reports, the girl was given a drug-laced substance and rendered unconscious before the accused took her away. SSP Ajay Singh stated that the incident's sensitivity has prompted the police to thoroughly examine all evidence and conduct interrogations. Despite this, some individuals are attempting to communalize the issue by disseminating false information on social media.

The incident led to a gathering at the Raipur police station late in the evening, where the victim's family and others protested against the delay in filing the case. Other police stations were also brought in to maintain order.
