The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Heartfulness, recently organized a four-day Global Spirituality Mahotsav at Kanha Shanti Vanam near Hyderabad.
The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Heartfulness, recently organized a four-day Global Spirituality Mahotsav at Kanha Shanti Vanam near Hyderabad.
From March 14 to 17, the spirituality summit brought together 500 prominent heads of spiritual organizations from various faiths and beliefs worldwide. With the theme "Inner Peace to World Peace," the event attracted nearly 100,000 attendees, aiming to foster interfaith dialogues and encourage people of all ages to embrace spirituality in their daily lives.
During the inauguration, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the significance of the Global Spirituality Mahotsav in guiding humanity towards spirituality and harmony, regardless of diverse belief systems. She commended Rev Daaji, the Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, for expanding the Heartfulness movement to 160 countries worldwide. President Murmu expressed her pleasure at the collaboration between The Ministry of Culture and Heartfulness in organizing the Global Spiritual Mahotsav, emphasizing the theme of inner peace leading to world peace.
The summit featured esteemed participants such as Shri Chinna Jeeyar Swami, Shri Vaisnavism Guru; motivational speaker Gaur Gopal Das; Mark Milton of Education4Peace; Pir Zia Inayat Khan of the Inayati Order; Harjinder Singh Dhami of SGPC; Rev. Anthony Poola, Archbishop of Hyderabad; Dr. Jayanti S. Ravi of the Auroville Foundation; Ven Geshe Dorji of the Tibet House; actor Kabir Bedi; and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.
