Nayii Udaan 2025: A Musical Celebration of Mentorship, Legacy, and Rising Voices Led by Kailash Kher

Mumbai, July 7, 2025 — While most birthday celebrations are centered around cake, cameras, and congratulatory speeches, Kailash Kher chose a different route—one that amplifies purpose over pomp. At the 9th edition of Nayii Udaan, held at St. Andrew’s Auditorium in Bandra, the Padma Shri awardee turned his birthday into a powerful platform for nurturing India’s next generation of music talent.

The event, now a highly anticipated annual gathering, is more than a concert—it’s a soulful ecosystem of mentorship, memory, and musical growth. Built on the timeless values of the Guru-Shishya Parampara, Nayii Udaan brings together veteran artists, rising stars, and eager audiences in one deeply moving celebration of sound and soul.

Among those present to honour the moment were legendary names like Anup Jalota, Gayatri Asokan, Devangana Chauhan, Ameet Satam, Sakil Mohmmad, and several others—each adding their own warmth and energy to the evening.

But the real stars of the show were the ten handpicked emerging vocalists, selected from over 200 entries received through a unique nationwide digital hunt run entirely via social media. Each finalist was paired with an experienced mentor—Amit Gupta, Priyani Vani Pandit, Abhas Joshi, Hriday Gattani, and Purusharth Jain—forming dynamic duos that co-created original and collaborative performances live on stage.

This year’s public opening of the event saw music lovers across Mumbai filling every seat, as tickets became available for the first time on BookMyShow. The energy inside the auditorium was electric, as stories, ragas, and rhythms came together in real-time harmony.

> “This isn’t just a concert. It’s a diya passed on—from one voice to the next,” said Kailash Kher, whose journey from an unknown artist to a national icon continues to inspire.

Presented by Kailasa Entertainment, in collaboration with Kailasa Records, KKALA (Kailash Kher Academy for Learning Art), and the Kailash Kher Foundation, Nayii Udaan 2025 was made possible with the support of Amar Ujala (Print Partner), Radio City (Radio Partner), AD Media OOH, Shree Gangour Foods, and Damroo (Streaming Partner).

As lights dimmed and applause echoed into the night, Nayii Udaan 2025 left behind something far more valuable than memories—it left behind momentum. For every young voice that took the stage, the path is now a little clearer, the dream a little louder.
